They looks like classic Denons: big, roomy and comfy earpads with it’s nice looking Purpleheart earcup. Purpleheart has the most bassier sound of TR-X00 family, perfect if you like warm and relaxed sounds, also it’s good for listening at low level. Oh yeah, i like when it when modelling the earpads, it is The TH-X00/TR-X00 in Ebony have much better tonality than the TH900 (Mk2). Sticking TH610 pads on the TH900 (Mk2) helps, but isn't a "complete" fix. The TH900 (Mk2) are quite biting in the treble and the bass bleeds into the midrange enough to be problematic.
